Our Commitment
Fylo Health is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards. We believe that everyone should have equal access to healthcare services.
Conformance Status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities.
Current status: Partially conformant pending further manual assistive technology checks, remediation of documented gaps, and named owner review.
Current Test Coverage
We run automated Playwright and axe checks for critical patient and operator journeys where browser automation is appropriate.
- Landing page keyboard and mobile touch-target checks
- Pharmacy QR entry route setup and live-action states
- Patient check-in identity verification and failure messaging
- Pharmacy First information page urgent-care signposting
- Pharmacy dashboard staff login failure messaging
- Super-admin login failure messaging
Automated checks do not replace manual screen-reader, keyboard-only, zoom, and clinical safety review. Known gaps are tracked in the internal accessibility and patient-safety UX gaps register.
Accessibility Features
Our platform includes the following accessibility features:
- Keyboard navigation support for all interactive elements
- Screen reader compatibility with ARIA labels and descriptions
- High contrast text for improved readability
- Clear and consistent navigation structure
- Responsive design that works on various devices and screen sizes
- Alt text for all meaningful images
- Logical heading structure for content organisation
- Form labels and error messages clearly associated with inputs
- Focus indicators for keyboard navigation
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some areas may still have accessibility issues:
- Some interactive components may not be fully keyboard accessible
- Third-party embedded content (maps, videos) may have limitations
- Some colour contrast ratios may not meet WCAG AA standards
- Complex forms may need additional screen reader guidance
We are actively working to address these limitations in future updates.
